San Diego Bases (ARMY?)

San Diego, MCAS MiraMar +and Naval Base

MCAS: MCX. They just got done remodeling it and the prices are very reasonable. There are a lot of things do here in San Diego and neighboring cities. They have admission to the zoo and wild animal park free for active duty, free tuesdays at balboa park musuems, free parking downtown after 6pm, disneyland is not far at all, etc, etc, etc. Now the bad side is the bad and rude drivers. If you are ARMY like us......you have to either order what you need or go to FT Irwin. (4 1/2-6 hr drive) It all depends on the traffic. Naval Base: The NEX is 2 stories high and a bigger commissary which I do not like. The prices are higher but have more stuff (Talking about the NEX and Commissary). The reason is everything is so far spread out (commissary) and when I run into someone at the MCAS Miramar. They say the same thing.
