We have been stationed at white sands missile range in white sands NM for 6 months. We currently live in Las Cruces which is about a 30 min drive. The city is great. Nice weather, nice people, plenty to do. It is a very conservative/religious town so if your looking for tons of night clubs, strip clubs, etc. hah, there isn't much of that. My husband and I like it here but can't wait to move somewhere closer to our home (Michigan). The only airport nearby is el paso and it's fairly expensive to fly out of because it's smaller. all in all it's pretty good, we are moving on base this week. The base is pretty small not much to do but the houses are awesome. Very big and only a couple years old if that. The grocery store on base is small and has your necessities plus a little extra.
