MCAS Yuma

MCAS Yuma

In Yuma, Az there is Marine Air Station Yuma. It is 110 degrees+ every summer it does get pretty chilly in the winter and rain is not always seen. MCAS Yuma has a decent exchange, pretty nice commisary with great prices. I did a experiment and bout what I needed at the commisary then went to price those EXACT items at Walmart and Albertsons and spent way less at the commisary. Its been that way at every Marine base I have lived on. The base is not the best when it comes to dress codes and rules because there is a larger number who do not care more than there is those who do. The Marine Corps FAmily Team Building and NAvy Marine Corps Relief Society are amazing in their service and dedication. The services, classes, and events held by those two groups turn out wonderful each time. San Diego is only 2-2 1/2 hrs away and Phoenix is 3 hours. Both of which are great to visit many times.
