Fort Lewis

After spending over 5 years at Fort Hood, TX anything looks good! But honestly, Fort Lewis is a very nice place to live. The weather is great and the surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous. I live in the Olympia/Tumwater area and there are plenty of nice apartments with reasonable rates....and it's only 17 minutes to base. Not to mention the crime is low. It's not impossible to find a job here. My husband and I like it so much we've decided to settle here. So if there's anyone out there being sent here don't worry, it's a keeper! (And if you need an apartment, email me, I'm a leasing agent who is glad to help) =)
